President
Hey wonderful Valkyries my name is Mya, and I am SO excited to be serving as the 2023-2024 JFAM president. I am a junior majoring in Management Consulting and Sociology. I am from Monroe, IN, but am now a proud resident of 2A, so come visit me in 212 anytime. A few of my favorite things around campus are Iron Sharpens Iron, broomball, and serving with fellow ND students. I have met the most incredible people in Johnson, and I love the random chats with fellow valkyries in the halls literally 24/7. This dorm has become a family to me, and I want to help continue to make it a place where every Valkyrie feels loved, supported, encouraged, and at home. I am SO passionate about our beautiful dorm and am pumped for the incredible year ahead. Please come to us anytime and voice your thoughts and ideas– this is our dorm, our family, so let’s make it the best year yet!! :).

Hello lovely valks! My name is Nicole Tonetti and I am so beyond excited and grateful to be serving as your fall 2023 Vice President of JFam. I am a rising junior majoring in Business Analytics and minoring in both sociology and Italian. This past spring semester I had the privilege of studying abroad in Rome so if you have any questions related to study abroad or anything Italian I am always happy to help! I’m originally from a suburb of Columbus, Ohio but will be living on the 4th floor this year. You’re always welcome in 402!! My favorite things to do on campus are participating in SIBC, coregraphing the partner piece dance for transpose, going to sports games (especially football!!), dining hall dinners with friends, and walking around campus. I always tell people that JFam is the nicest dorm on campus not only for its architectural beauty but also for the support of the family it holds inside. I’m so proud of this second family I’ve been lucky to call my own. We are so excited to welcome you into your new family! We want you to feel as much a part of it as you are so please come to us for anything you need :)

Hi everyone! My name is Tessa Berning and I’m so honored and excited to be serving as the spring 2024 Vice President! I am a sophomore majoring in Economics and Computer Science. I was born and raised in Dubuque, Iowa, and in JFAM I am a resident of 3B. Come visit room 353 and say hi! Some of my favorite ND activities are going to football games, going on walks or runs around the lake, and having game nights or movie nights in JFAM. I’ve only been a Valkyrie for one year, but I am so thankful for the ways the Johnson community has encouraged me to grow into the most authentic version of myself. I am passionate about making JFAM a home for everyone and making sure that everyone feels welcomed and wanted at every event. I’m so excited for this next year and all the amazing things it will bring! Ride Valks :)

Hi Everyone! My name is Maria Bueno and I'm your 2023-2024 Hall Senator! While originally from Miami, Florida, I'm so happy I get to call JFam my home on campus. I'm a sophomore studying Finance and Global Affairs with a minor in Korean, so please reach out if you feel as though I may ever be of help to you. Aside from that, on campus I'm part of Baraka Bouts (Women's Boxing), a research assistant for the Notre Dame Deloitte Center for Ethical Leadership, and I will occasionally go and play some tennis. I'm looking forward to a great year and an even better football season! BVL and GO IRISH!!
