Annabeth Briley, 2023

Resident Assistant, First Floor

Hi! My name is Annabeth Briley, and I am so pumped to be one of the JFam RA’s for next year! I’m a History and Classics major with a minor in Irish Studies from Washington, Louisiana. I studied abroad in Athens, Greece last semester, and I will be interning in Dublin, Ireland this summer.  I love sports, hiking, running, and long walks around the lakes, so if you ever want someone to tag along with to a game or to go on a walk with, I’m always glad to have company.  I am a member of the Notre Dame Prelaw Student Board as well as a SUB member, and am one of the College of Arts and Letters Peers to Careers ambassadors for Johnson Family Hall.  My on campus job is with Notre Dame Cake Service, so I basically get paid to write birthday cards, and I almost always have extra cupcakes and cookies in my room.  I can’t wait to get to know all of you better, and don’t hesitate to come chat if you ever need anything or just want to talk with someone:)

Kathleen Fitzsimons, 2023

Resident Assistant, 2A

Hi all! My name is Kathleen Fitzsimons and I’m from Glenview, Illinois, just outside of Chicago. I can’t wait to serve as one of your RAs in the greatest dorm on campus! At Notre Dame, I study Neuroscience & Behavior pre-health and I also have a minor in Italian. Last spring semester, I studied abroad in Rome! Living and learning in Italy was one of the most amazing times of my life so far! I will happily tell you all about the incredible food, people, and places I experienced.

Outside of JFam, I work for ND’s Academic Services for Student Athletes as a tutor. I also volunteer at events and games as part of Notre Dame’s student first aid team. As a lifelong swimmer, I love being a part of the club swim team, too. In my spare time, I enjoy running on our beautiful campus, cooking, eating anything chocolate, and meeting every dog I can.

Stop by any time to say hi or come hang out! I’m so thrilled to get to know you and have the best year yet!

Vannessa Leonardo, 2023

Resident Assistant, 2B

My name is Vanessa Leonardo and I am so proud and excited to be one of your JFam RAs! I am from Marietta, Georgia (about a half hour outside Atlanta) and I am majoring in Neuroscience and Behavior with a supplementary major in Spanish. On campus, I work at RecSports and am involved in the Family Studies Lab, as well the Center for Social Concerns after doing the SSLP and ISSLP programs. I also had the amazing opportunity to go to Spain in the fall semester of my junior year so you’ll often see me cooking Spanish food or at a Spanish mass! In my free time, you can find me reading, baking with friends, or volunteering at a dog shelter here in South Bend. After graduation, I hope to go to med school so please stop by with any questions you might have!

Feel free to drop by for a cup of tea (or coffee!) or just to say hi! I can’t wait to see all the new faces in JFam this year, as well as all the familiar faces of our returning Valks. My door is always open!

Sualée Wright, 2023

Resident Assistant, 3A

Hello, helloooo! My name is Sualée Wright and I am soooo excited to be one of your RAs for the 2022-2023 school year! I am from the Bronx, New York. I’m studying Psychology with plans to attend law school, and so I’ll be interning at a law firm back home this summer. Throughout the school year, I work with the Kaneb Center to make pedagogy more inclusive within ND’s classrooms, as both diversity and accessibility are really important to me. I am also a member of the Video Game Club here at ND; I own multiple consoles that have a bajillion games on them, so don’t hesitate to stop by if you’d ever like to take a break and get your game on!

In my free time, I love to spend time in the kitchen at odd-hours cooking something exquisite; food is my secret passion. Whenever I’m not cheffing it up, you’ll find me either writing a novel or drawing in my sketchbook. I love poetry and I’ve been writing books since I was little. Art has also always been a natural talent for me, so I’d love to share and create some pieces with you all! I’m a big fan of pomegranate juice, Oreo PopTarts, anime, the color pink, cereal, and cute aesthetics. Feel free to stop by whenever if you ever need someone to talk to, a shoulder to lean on, a couch to take a nap on, or some snacks (I always keep my fridge stocked). I look forward to meeting you all and I can’t wait for the fun times ahead!

Savanna Klee, 2023

Resident Assistant, 3B

Hello! My name is Savanna Klee and I’m so excited to be one of your JFam RAs this year! I’m from Rochester, New York and I’m majoring in Psychology and English with minors in Korean and Linguistics. I’m hoping to study abroad in South Korea this summer! When I’m not in class, I choreograph tap for the Notre Dame Dance Company, serve as an Advising Fellow for a club known as Matriculate, and work for Sara Bea Accessibility Services. In my free time, I like to go on hikes with my yellow lab named George, run around the lakes, bake chocolate chip cookies, and listen to country music. You can also usually find me scoping out the ice cream at The Huddle- I have been called an ice cream connoisseur:)

I can’t wait to be with all of you! If you need anything, or even if you don’t and just want to come say hi, my door is always open. I’m here for you!

Savannah Gregory, 2023

Resident Assistant, Fourth Floor

Hello, lovelies! My name is Savannah Gregory. I was raised in Wentzville, Missouri, but I was born in Janesville, Wisconsin. A proud Cheesehead, Packer Backer, and Milwaukee Bucks fan rolled into one! I am a Psychology major with a minor in Innovation & Entrepreneurship, so I spend a decent amount of time between Mendoza and Arts & Letters. I have spent two semesters working on a collaborative business project with a school in Kalongo, Uganda to equip young women with the necessary skills they need for economic and academic success. I have also spent three semesters in the Attention, Memory, and Perception research lab, and I look forward to continuing my research efforts at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology this summer!

Outside of classes and other academic pursuits, I am probably one of the most vocal Marvel enthusiasts you will ever meet. I also enjoy reading classic novels, literature on ancient history, and baking anything sweet (usually cinnamon rolls or chocolate chip cookies!). Please do not hesitate to reach out if you need a plus one to your first club meeting or your first (or thirtieth) football game. I look forward to meeting you all and hopefully watching a few Marvel shows or movies together!

Senior Fellow

Hello mighty, mighty Valkyries! I am Eliza, and I am rising fourth-year majoring in Psychology and Global Affairs: Peace Studies with minors in CDT: Cyber Safety/Security and Italian. I am beyond stoked to be the senior fellow for JFam this academic year. Some of things that I will help out with include welcome week, dorm-wide events, and dorm relations. My position may be a little different from the RAs, but I still will be here for all of you. I am just excited to make great memories for our dorm.

Some things about me: I am originally from Kennesaw, Georgia, right outside of Atlanta. I love watching football (Go Steelers and Irish!), movies, and throwback TV shows. I cook a lot in the dorm, and I am always looking to share. I spend a lot of time in the gym or outside running. You can also always challenge me to a Switch game-off. I serve on three Executive Student Government Departments, work for the multicultural center, participate in interdisciplinary research, and a one of the directors of LGBTQ+ Domers. This year, I spent time abroad in Rome, Italy and South Africa. I volunteer with food banks, refugee centers, anti-human trafficking organizations, and at-risk youth centers. After Notre Dame, I plan to attend graduate school abroad for International Relations and Human Rights Law.

I cannot wait to usher in another stupendous year in JFam with my fellow Valkyries.
